Bobby Calderon, FSS Training Director
Bobby started FSS in 1986. Bobby brings a unique set of talents to FSS. He has a tremendous, contagious love for the game and it shows in everything he does. Bobby played professionally in the Primera Division de Costa Rica for Deportivo Saprissa. He is currently the primary trainer of the RYSA Wildcats and has been training the elite soccer club for over 30 years. He has coached NJ State Cup Finalists, NJ State Cup Champions, and National Tournament Champions. Lastly, Bobby has developed First Shot Academy (FSA), which provides premier level training for teams who travel abroad to compete in Costa Rica.

Cindy Calderon, FSS Team Coordinator
In 2008 and 2011, Cindy traveled with the First Shot Academy team to Costa Rica to compete in a premier tournament. Her performance in these tournaments gained her a tryout with the Costa Rican National team and recognition from local coaches. After weeks of practices, training camps and tournaments, Cindy was offered a roster spot and worked her way to a starting position. She was set to compete against the USWNT in the 2012 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying game for CR but was ineligible to travel out of the country with the team due to issues with her dual citizen paperwork. She played in the W-League, a semi-pro women's soccer league in North America for 4 years for the NJ Wildcats and the North Jersey Valkyries. Cindy played D1 soccer for Fairleigh Dickinson University and was a 4-year Varsity starter at Indian Hills High School. Cindy was part of the 2 NJ State Group 2 back-to-back Championships in 2002 and 2003. Currently, she is a starter for the NJ Alliance FC in the Garden State League. She began as a Jr. coach at a young age and acquired her first independent coaching position at just 18 years old and has coached all ages for FSS.

Piero Pelosi, FSS Team Coordinator
Piero has been playing soccer all of his life and currently plays on ICON FC in the Garden State Soccer League. He represented the State University of New York – Ulster County Community College as a member of the Men's Soccer team and was a 2-year starter. Piero has been coaching for FSS since 2015, he began assisting in camps and practices of all ages. Piero assists training teams throughout the RYSA club, allowing him to familiarize with player strengths and challenges of all sorts. It also provides him with insight into key components that can be used and implemented into the development of his coaching career and his players.

Yirlania "Chila" Fonseca, Goalkeeper Training
Chila played for the Women's Professional team, Sky Blue of NJ from 2014-2015. Chila played women's professional soccer from 2004-2013 for various teams in Costa Rica. She was also selected for the CR National U20 Team from 2004-2006 and selected for the CR Women's National Team from 2006-2015. In her career, Chila has participated in...

Mark has been working with RYSA teams for around 15 years, mostly at the high school age group.

Jim Loudon
Jim Loudon went to Ramapo High School and played soccer for four years, then furthering his career with a scholarship from Davis and Elkins. He was drafted to the Cleveland Cobras in 1979 to play in the American Soccer League. After his personal soccer career came to an end, he wanted to teach the soccer skills that he learned over the years. He has been training and coaching soccer teams for the last 28 years. He has been a head coach for varsity girl’s high school soccer, winning two NJ state championships in 2002 and 2003. He has trained and coached several girls throughout his career that have gone on to play Division 1 soccer in college. Jim enjoys his time giving back the skills he has learned over the years and watching them develop and grow into young and coming soccer players.

Jonathan Hayes
Jonathan played varsity soccer at Pompton Lakes High School, where he became a league champion along with being nominated for Honorable Mention All-County. He attributes much of this success to his developmental years spent at RYSA under the training of First Shot Soccer. After graduating from Rutgers University in 2016 he reconnected with First Shot and accompanied them as they brought a youth team to play in Costa Rica. He has since obtained his U.S. Soccer E License and is looking forward to coaching the next generation of players through First Shot.

Hugo Gonzales
Hugo played four years of varsity soccer in high school. After high school, Hugo went to Honduras to try-out professionally. He was offered a position to play for the B-team, second division, of Real Espana in Honduras. After returning to the US, he joined and currently plays in a semi-pro team in Western Connecticut. He also plays for an amateur team in Purchase, New York, being selected 4 times to the all-star team and being twice named, "Best Player" of the league (2014, 2015 seasons). Being surrounded by the soccer community that knows the game so well, he has managed to learn from them and hopes to bring that experience and excitement to his players.

Luis Motta
Luis played college soccer at Saint Marcos University in Lima, Peru.
Luis currently holds his USSF 'D' license and has been coaching in the US for the past 20 years. He has been training with FSS and working with RYSA teams for since 2004.
